A
sampling of the large scale production of 50+ portraits in a style
somewhere between etching and the WSJ Hedcuts. A tight dealine - with
some of these turned around overnight made automization a must. Also
the source material over which I had no control was widly variable.
Accomplished with a combination of Photoshop filters and drawn
elements.
A fun and interesting problem-solving project. At an average of less
than 1 hour (45 min.?) on each it was hard to tweak beyond simply
acceptable. The client was THRILLED with the results and overall they
look good, but the challenge is to see if I can control the
style a little better next time.
